About Your Captain

Gianni Brill was born in Bucharest Romania, which he left at the age of 15. After some years of roaming the world, he moved to Southern California at the age of 21. Here, after owning and running a number of businesses, he established EuroSail Charters, teaching sailing, boating, and skippering charters in various locations around the globe for 17 years. The last 5 of the 17 years of running a successful international charter operation, Gianni added Sea Legs Sailing to allow individuals with disabilities to enjoy sailing the open ocean. In 1997, the wanderlust took over again and Gianni entered the private yachting industry and never looked back. With a vast knowledge of cruising destinations and attention to detail, it has been a very successful career. This attention to detail, service and the passion for the sea has brought many clients back, eventually becoming personal friends along the way. Gianni is a “hands on” Captain that will make your holidays on board memorable and leave you wanting more.

Skippering a multitude of sailing and power yachts in many areas of the world, combined with his multilingual talents has given Gianni the opportunity to feel comfortable in any location in which he finds himself. He holds USCG 1600T and 3000T MCA licenses in addition to safety, firefighting, and over 300,000 nautical miles at sea. All of this translates into exceptional service, fun, and safety whilst you and your loved ones are on board.

At this time, Captain Gianni is still “keeping his toes wet” by offering small trips on S/Y Bacini, a Hunter 376. This self proclaimed, “semi-retired” Captain is passionate about sharing his vast knowledge of the ocean and sailing with all who want to learn. It’s truly a labor of love.
